FORMULA (A)

FEEDS FED WITH FORAGE CONSISTING OF 50% OF MORE ALFALFA HAY

The following feeds are formulated by LMF to purposely be lower in protein (and hence lower in amino acids) to offset the very high protein (and hence higher amino acid levels) present in alfalfa hays.

To put this into perspective, a 20% protein alfalfa (moderate quality) has lysine of 1%, methionine of .31% and threonine of .88%. A 10% protein grass hay, in comparison has lysine of .35%, methionine of .13% and threonine of .36%.
