Kathy Grimes, DVM

Kathy Grimes, DVM from Washington State, has used LMF feeds for her horses for over 20 years.

Kathy, a member of the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association has been competing professionally at PRCA rodeos for 11 years. Kathy competed in the 2017 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) held in Las Vegas Nevada December 7-16, 2017. Her excellent performance there earned her the honor of a 12th place finish in the 2017 WPRA standings.

Typically Kathy will travel over 40,000 miles competing in futurities, derbies, and professional rodeos with multiple horses. This year Nine Oh Barrel Horses will be focusing on securing a position in the top 15 in the world to qualify for the WNFR and will travel mostly to professional rodeos throughout the United States and Canada.

  • Columbia River Circuit Finals Qualifier (7th time since 2009)
  • 2014 & 2016 Columbia River Circuit Finals Average Champion – Qualifier to Ram National Circuit Finals in Kissimmee, Florida in 2015 & 2017
  • Finished 36th in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association World Standings in 2016.
  • 2017 Reserve Champion at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo
  • 2017 Reserve Champion at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo
  • 2017 Reserve Champion at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
  • Kathy Grimes, DVM owns Nine Oh Barrel Horses and has dedicated her career to breeding, raising, training and competing all ages of equine athletes. She also has an embryo transfer service that she started in 2006.

Dr. Grimes understands, promotes, and educates clients on the nutritional needs of their horses and appreciates the fact that proper nutrition can be complicated and confusing, but with the right feed and attention to detail, a balanced diet is attainable.
